Dermal filler injections are a type of nonsurgical cosmetic procedure. It is a cosmetic treatment which involves small injections. They are designed to effectively reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, contour and create volume, and to revitalise the skin. Dermal fillers are based on Hyaluronic acid which is a substance that naturally exists in your body.

How long does dermal filler last?
Fillers are not permanent. How long they last depends on things like the type of filler and where it's injected. They usually last between 6 and 18 months.

When do i need to have the treatment again?
Touch-up times range from three to twelve months depending on the area of treatment and the desired look.

Is there any pre-care?
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours pre-and post treatment. For a week before and after the procedure, avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, Ibuprofen and Vitamin E, as well as certain food supplements such as fish oil, liquorice, garlic, ginger, ginkgo and green tea. Is there anyone not eligible for this treatment?
Dermal fillers may not be appropriate for people with certain conditions, such as bleeding disorders or some allergies. Please book in for a dermal filler consultation with our practitioner for more enquiries.
